Rest and Reconstitution

As any lily in bloom will tell you, to exist in this fully concentrated form demands reserves of energy that afterward requires periods of rest and reconstitution. With this in mind, one must decide for herself which facets of one's life can allow for dilution or diffusion and which facets require the full glory of exposition of one's self.
It is simply to note that we must have a place and time in our lives when one is able do a lot of self-assessment and inward-looking to become one's full Heightened Self. Hence, the time for reverie and contemplation. To fold ourselves into a bud only to spring forth again as the season hearkens us back.
The bud
stands for all things,
even for those things that don’t flower,
for everything flowers, from within, of self-blessing;
though sometimes it is necessary
to reteach a thing its loveliness,
to put a hand on its brow
of the flower
and retell it in words and touch
it is lovely
until it flowers again from within, of self-blessing....
—From "Saint Francis and the Sow"
Galway Kinnell

At times, we need to rest and reconstitute. Reflect. Pray. Meditate. In these quiet moments in divine contemplation that is when I truly flower from within.
